Back-Off™ Brake Light Modulator

What I've got installed here are two LED bulbs from LEDTronics in the taillight. These replace the normal 1157 bulbs and have, in addition to the rear facing red LEDs, a ring of outward facing white LEDs to illuminate the license plate and provide side lighting. (Most 1157 LED bulbs only shine in one direction.) There's a one-piece unit from Radiantz available now that replaces both bulbs with a board covered in red LEDs with upward facing white ones across the top for about the same price these two cost me.

A LED rear running/brake light kit from The Electrical Connection. This thing took me half a day to install and required completely removing the turn signals, including threading the wiring out from under the seat and the rear fender. (Jack the bike up and hope your hand is small enough to get in between the fender and tire. Mine was, just barely. Otherwise you may have to remove the rear wheel.) It also required carving a little bit of the rubber mount away inside the turn signal housing in order to thread the wires through. They send crimp-on and bullet connectors in the kit, but I soldered all connections and covered them with heat shrink tubing, as I've had crimp-on type connectors fail before.

Back-Off™ Brakelight Modulator from Signal Dynamics. This little gadget (About 2"x1.5"x0.5") goes inline with the power to the brake light (mounts under the seat) and cause the brake light to cycle through 3 short flashes and one long flash for as long as you keep either brake depressed. Not much else to say, the pattern keeps cagers attention well. I haven't had someone sitting on my rear fender at a stoplight since I put it on.
